Baseball Recap: Weston Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Weston can now relate to. They came up short against the Montville Wolves on Monday, falling 8-0. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in June of 2016.

Weston has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Montville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Weston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Montville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cadets' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
