Volleyball Recap: Pomona Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pomona lost against Standley Lake back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Gators, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-5.

When it comes to explaining why Pomona lost, don't look at Jaylei Trujillo. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs. Meira Schmidt also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Maryn Paulson was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs and one assist.

Pomona dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Standley Lake, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pomona is set to challenge their familiar foe Conifer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Standley Lake will face off against rival Wheat Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
