Cobden's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Egyptian Pharaohs as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Appleknockers, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Abby Pitts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Pitts was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Cobden got a massive performance out of Natalie Storm, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alivia Kilpatrick, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3.
Cobden hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Egyptian struck out eight times.
Cobden's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Egyptian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
