Football Preview: Smethport Hubbers vs. Coudersport Falcons

The Smethport Hubbers will venture away from home to face off against the Coudersport Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smethport will be strutting in after a victory while Coudersport will be coming in after a defeat.

Smethport is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Bucktail 46-20 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Hubbers considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Jonah Ganoe was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Owen Rounsville was in the mix as well, providing Smethport with two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Smethport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Smethport's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Coudersport, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
