Football Game Preview: Washington-Marion Charging Indians vs. Peabody Warhorses

The Washington-Marion Charging Indians will face off against the Peabody Warhorses at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Washington-Marion managed to keep up with St. Louis Catholic until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Charging Indians came up short against the Saints, falling 46-26. Despite 116 more yards than the Saints, the Charging Indians couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Washington-Marion might have lost, but man, Monte Farmer was a machine: he rushed for 31 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 211 yards and one touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Peabody played a tough game last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 36-6 loss at the hands of Fontainebleau. The Warhorses were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Peabody now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Washington-Marion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
