Basketball Game Preview: Champaign Central Maroons vs. Chicago Marshall Commandos

Having just played yesterday, the Champaign Central Maroons will jump right back in to play the Chicago Marshall Commandos at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Champaign Central has given up an average of 59 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Champaign Central ended up a good deal behind Manual and lost 64-50. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Rams are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Chicago Marshall entered their tilt with Ogden International on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ogden International 61-22. That 39-point margin sets a new team best for the Commandos this season.

Chicago Marshall's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Champaign Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
