Mountain View has gone a perfect 10-0 against Centennial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Mountain View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Boise, who was ranked 19th at the time (Mountain View was ranked seventh). The Mavericks came out on top against the Brave by a score of 10-5 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Brave: they've now won seven in a row.

Katy Jackson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Mountain View let Aleynah Vega and Kiki Bangham run wild. Vega went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Bangham went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Kaitlyn Van Winkle was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Timberline on Thursday, falling 18-8. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost five in a row.
Cali Moorhouse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Josie Moorhouse, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Centennial's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Mountain View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Mountain View keep running through batters, or will the Patriots buck the trend?
