Basketball Game Preview: Brooks Eagles vs. Lake View Wildcats

The Brooks Eagles will head out to challenge the Lake View Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Brooks faced off against Thornwood on Friday. Brooks took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thornwood.

Meanwhile, Lake View hadn't done well against Schurz recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lake View pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over Schurz.

Brooks better focus on containing Frank Fregoso and Dyami Rolon as the pair were huge in Lake View's win. Fregoso almost dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and nine assists, while Rolon posted eight points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Fregoso a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Betancourt, who put up six points.

Lake View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Lake View pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points over those games. As for Brooks, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-8.
