Baseball Recap: Rhinelander Comes Up Short

Rhinelander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the D.C. Everest Evergreens. That's two games in a row now that the Hodags have lost by just one run.

Rhinelander's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for D.C. Everest, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Rhinelander didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Antigo on the 6th. As for D.C. Everest, they will head out to face off against Menomonie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
