Softball Recap: Pendleton County Comes Up Short

If Pendleton County was riding high fresh off their 16-7 takedown of East Fairmont on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcat came up short against the Lincoln Cougars on Friday, falling 18-2.

Pendleton County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinsley Price, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Pendleton County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Lincoln, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Pendleton County will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Pocahontas County at 6:00 p.m. As for Lincoln, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Buckhannon-Upshur at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
