After losing to Vanlue the last time they met, Arcadia decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Redskins walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Redskins have beaten the Wildcats on their court since October 19, 2021.

Arcadia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 10-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-22.

Ryleigh Bostic paced Arcadia's offense, picking up 14 kills. Bostic got some help from Ivy Smith and her 18 assists. Smith also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lexi Theis, each putting up three.

The victory made it two in a row for Arcadia and bumps their season record up to 10-12. As for Vanlue, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Arcadia and Ridgemont will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vanlue, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Cory-Rawson on the 11th.
