Recap: Tolono Unity Rockets vs. Prairie Central Hawks
The Tolono Unity Rockets can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 57-37 margin over Prairie Central. Given Tolono Unity's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Prairie Central is ranked 612th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Raegen Stringer was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with seven steals and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Reagan Little was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Tolono Unity is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Prairie Central, they bumped their record down to 2-18 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolono Unity will take on Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Prairie Central, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Peotone at 11:30 a.m. on January 20th. Peotone is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
