Basketball Recap: John Henry Comes Up Short

John Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 62-7 loss at the hands of the Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins. The contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

John Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mare Island Tech Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. John Henry will take on rival Envision Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mare Island Tech Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Leadership Public Schools Richmond at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
