Volleyball Recap: MMI Preparatory School Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tamaqua, MMI Preparatory School was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Mid Valley Spartans by a score of 3-1. For MMI Preparatory School, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win Mid Valley walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 18-25, 25-11, 25-18.

Cassidy McDermott paced MMI Preparatory School's offense, picking up 15 kills. McDermott were helped by Shreeya Parikh and Arushi Solgama, who contributed 12 assists each. McDermott was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got MMI Preparatory School back to even at 1-1. As for Mid Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, MMI Preparatory School will challenge Pittston at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be MMI Preparatory School's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mid Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Western Wayne on the 2nd.
