Baseball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence lost to Madison Central back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles lost 11-1 to the Jaguars. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caden White was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Hunter Ray Dean also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-2. As for Madison Central, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Florence will square off against Cleveland Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison Central, they will take on Germantown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
