Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North). They breezed past the Boron Bobcats to the tune of 49-7 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won three games by 22 points or more so far this season.

North found their leader in sophomore Robert Rodriguez, who rushed for 80 yards and one score on only nine carries. Caden Haner was in the mix too, providing the Stars with one touchdown.

North was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 156 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Boron lost, don't look at Andrew Gartica. Despite the final result, he picked up 134 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 65 yards on only six carries.

North now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Boron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Coming up, North will be playing in front of their home fans against Arvin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Boron, they will venture away from home to face off against Kern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats will be up against the Broncs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
