             If Carondelet was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of California last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Carondelet Cougars fell just short of the Foothill Falcons by a score of  3-2 on Thursday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
 Carondelet started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 15-25, 26-24, 25-19,  15-10.
 When it comes to explaining why Carondelet lost, don't look at  Isabella Vertudez. Despite the final result, she  had six  digs and four  aces.
 Foothill was led to victory by  Olivia So and  Brooke Stedman.  So  had nine  digs and four  aces, while  Stedman  had 19  assists. That's the most  aces  So has posted since back in September.
 Carondelet's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 25-7. As for Foothill, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 17 of their last 21 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Carondelet nor Foothill have any future games scheduled.
