Softball Recap: North Summit Comes Up Short

If North Summit was feeling good fresh off their 23-8 takedown of Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves came up short against the Millard Eagles on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 8-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

North Summit has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Millard, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 5-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. North Summit will challenge Judge Memorial Catholic at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Millard, they will square off against American Leadership Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
