Basketball Game Preview: Omaha Central Eagles vs. Elkhorn South Storm

The Omaha Central Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Elkhorn South Storm at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Omaha Central took on Bellevue West on Friday. Omaha Central walked away with a 56-48 win over Bellevue West.

Noelle Tcheuhchoua continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 for 14 en route to 22 points and seven boards. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sanai Cotton-Welchen, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Elkhorn South came up short against Omaha North on Friday and fell 71-63.

Elkhorn South's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Omaha Central, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Omaha Central was able to grind out a solid win over Elkhorn South when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 77-67. Will Omaha Central repeat their success, or does Elkhorn South have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
