Alexander extended their winning streak to 15 games thanks to a huge performance from Brianna Espinoza. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the United South Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday thanks in part to Espinoza, who had 22 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Alexander walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.
Alexander's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for United South, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-20.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alexander is set to take on their familiar foe Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, United South will square off against rival United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
