Softball Recap: Wadena-Deer Creek's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Wadena-Deer Creek hadn't done well against Park Rapids recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 9-4. The victory was nothing new for the Wolverines as they're now sitting on five straight.

Wadena-Deer Creek's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Park Rapids, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wadena-Deer Creek will venture away from home to take on Sebeka at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Park Rapids, they will head out to challenge Staples-Motley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
