Basketball Recap: Bishop Fenwick Starts Season with Win Against Mariemont

Bishop Fenwick took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over the Mariemont Warriors.

Leading Bishop Fenwick to victory were Hudson Kreke and Will Duba. Kreke posted 14 points and seven rebounds, while Duba put up 14 points and eight boards. That's the most boards Duba has posted since back in December of 2024. William Lenz was another key player, putting up six points.

Mariemont's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop Fenwick will challenge Hughes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mariemont, they will square off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
