Basketball Game Preview: Timberland Wolves vs. Woodland Wolverines

The Timberland Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Woodland Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Timberland will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Monday, Timberland needed a bit of extra time to put away Philip Simmons. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Iron Horses 43-40.

Kennahdi Murrell and Zion Prioleau were among the main playmakers for Timberland as the former went 5 of 10 on her way to 12 points and four steals and the latter posted 13 points and five assists. Prioleau has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. China Greene was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Woodland lost 52-28 to Burke on Friday.

Woodland's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Timberland, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Timberland strolled past Woodland in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a score of 50-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timberland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
