Softball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

Spring Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the West York Area Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by just one run.

Spring Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrina Camilleri, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Spring Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for West York Area, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spring Grove will face off against rival Eastern York at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West York Area is set to take on their familiar foe Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
