Baseball Recap: Pomfret School Griffins vs. Episcopal Maroon
Pomfret School had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Episcopal Maroon 14-4 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Griffins as it put an end to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Pomfret School got a massive performance out of Robert Ellsworth, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Alex Trapani was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Episcopal is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
