Volleyball Recap: Preston Knights vs. Washington Patriots
After losing to Washington the last time they met, Preston decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Patriots 2-1.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Preston got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-18.
Preston is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-25-1 record this season. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-19-4.
Coincidentally, Preston and Washington will both be playing East Fairmont the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Bees at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
