Recap: Faith Christian Saints vs. Still Creek Christian Colts
The Faith Christian Saints can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 76-43 win over Still Creek Christian at home. The win was just what Faith Christian needed coming off of a 76-51 defeat in their prior matchup.
Dylan Martinez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 19 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Faith Christian's points. Bryan Galvan was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with five rebounds.
Still Creek Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isaiah Freel, who scored 12 points along with four steals, and Jeremy Reed who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reed has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Mangon, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Still Creek Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Faith Christian racked up 20 assists.
Faith Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Still Creek Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Faith Christian's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Faith Christian in Texas (Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy is ranked 553rd, while Faith Christian is ranked 1370th). As for Still Creek Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Faith Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
