Basketball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Comes Up Short at Home Against Economedes

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Economedes Jaguars 67-26 on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 22 in a row.

Aniel Solis went supernova For Economedes., dropping a double-double with 20 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Prudencio Cantu, who posted five points and eight steals.

Coming up, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will be taking part in a tournament against Macedonian Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Economedes, they are taking a road trip to square off against San Perlita at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
