Softball Preview: Williams Bay Bulldogs vs. Big Foot Chiefs

The Williams Bay Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Big Foot Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Williams Bay is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.

Williams Bay's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Fall River.

Kalie Stanek was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Stanek is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's stolen at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Maisie Smith was another key contributor, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.

Meanwhile, after constant struggles on the road, Big Foot has finally found some success away from home. They fell just short of Clinton by a score of 6-5 on Thursday.

Holly Kynell put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Kynell was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, Lily Wolf made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4.

Williams Bay has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Big Foot, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
