Fort Wayne Snider dropped their record down to 5-2 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DeKalb Barons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Isaiah Snavely was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Brandon Logan was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

As for DeKalb, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs.

On DeKalb's side, Ashten Tuttle was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Tuttle has posted since back in April of 2024. Brady Vince also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Snider will face off against Huntington North at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for DeKalb, they will square off against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
