Seneca East and Monroeville are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Seneca East Tigers will challenge the Monroeville Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seneca East is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a blow against Mohawk on Friday, falling 77-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Warriors are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, Monroeville earned a 41-33 victory over New London on Tuesday.

Monroeville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Seneca East, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Seneca East strolled past Monroeville in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 71-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seneca East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
