Basketball Game Preview: William Monroe Dragons vs. Rocktown Raptors

Having just played yesterday, the William Monroe Dragons will get right back to it and host the Rocktown Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, William Monroe was able to grind out a solid win over Broadway, taking the game 49-36. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Gobblers are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Rocktown came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 71-60 victory over Harrisonburg on Friday.

William Monroe is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Rocktown, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
