Volleyball Recap: Lincolnton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lincolnton lost against East Gaston two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Warriors.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Kelsey Canterbury paced Lincolnton's offense, picking up six kills. Canterbury got some help from Kathryn Parker and her five assists. Finally, Kaylen Bryant kept Lincolnton's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

East Gaston was led to victory by Cooper Payne and Morgan Styles. Payne had 19 digs and five aces, while Styles had 33 assists and 11 digs. That's the most digs Payne has posted since back in August. Cora Stewart was another key player, getting five kills and two aces.

Lincolnton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for East Gaston, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lincolnton is set to face off against their familiar foe Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Gaston will square off against rival Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
