Basketball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Riverton Silverwolves

The Cyprus Pirates will square off against the Riverton Silverwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cyprus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.1 points per game this season.

Cyprus is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since November 30, 2023 on Saturday. They lost 68-45 to East. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Koli Fosita put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tate Nicholls, who had six points.

Meanwhile, Riverton strolled past Desert Hills with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 73-55. That's two games straight that the Silverwolves have won by exactly 18 points.

Riverton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Cyprus, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Cyprus couldn't quite finish off Riverton when the teams last played back in December of 2023 and fell 57-55. Can Cyprus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
