Basketball Recap: Northwestern Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manchester, Northwestern was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Eastern Comets out 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since December 15, 2023.

Northwestern has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Eastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on Peru at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peru is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. As for Eastern, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delphi Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
