After flying high against the Comsewogue Warriors back in November, the Newfield Wolverines came back down to earth. Newfield suffered a tough 71-51 defeat at the hands of West Babylon on Thursday.

West Babylon was led to victory by Jade Dockery and Jaelynn Burgess. Dockery scored 28 points, while Burgess scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Dockery is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Caltabiano, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Newfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Babylon, they pushed their record up to 1-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Newfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Babylon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on East Rockaway at 12:00 p.m. on December 27th.
