Baseball Recap: Waynesfield-Goshen Comes Up Short

Waynesfield-Goshen came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the New Bremen Cardinals. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Waynesfield-Goshen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Troy Spencer, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Waynesfield-Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Bremen, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Waynesfield-Goshen will head out to challenge Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Bremen, they will host Wayne Trace at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
