Baseball Recap: Sparkman Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln County, Sparkman was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Austin Black Bears. The Senators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Black Bears, too.

Sparkman's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Austin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparkman will square off against Buckhorn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Austin, they will welcome Madison County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
