Volleyball Recap: Nordonia's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nordonia can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Knights seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Nordonia moved to 20-7 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

Nordonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Vernon, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Archbishop McNicholas on the 31st.
