It's playoff time, and Scottsboro had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the St. Clair County Fighting Saints, posting a 42-6 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won seven contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacobi Edmonson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 175 yards and one score while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of Scottsboro's success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 7-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Jayden Gilbert was in the mix as well, providing the Wildcats with two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Scottsboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Clair County only rushed for 72.

Scottsboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jake Turner and Kade Matayo.

Scottsboro is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for St. Clair County, they moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Coming up, Scottsboro will face off against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aggies' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. St. Clair County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
