Softball Recap: Providence Day Chargers vs. Charlotte Catholic Cougars
It was fun while it lasted, but Providence Day's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Wednesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Charlotte Catholic Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

Elle Sigg made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Finley McGrath also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Having lost for the first time this season, Providence Day fell to 3-1. As for Charlotte Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Providence Day will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Covenant Day at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Charlotte Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 defeat against Ardrey Kell on the 17th.
