Flour Bluff gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Calallen Wildcats by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their 24th in a row dating back to last season.

Flour Bluff had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-14.

Flour Bluff will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ray at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Calallen, they will challenge Hallettsville at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
