Volleyball Recap: Kindred Comes Up Short

Kindred extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 9-8-1. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hillsboro Burros. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Hillsboro, their win bumped their record up to 5-14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 30th.

Leading Hillsboro to victory were Kloe Ackerman and Malia Bryl. Ackerman had ten digs, while Bryl had 12 kills, eight digs, and one block. That's the most kills Bryl has posted over her last 12 matchups.

Kindred didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Hillsboro/Central Valley on the 20th. As for Hillsboro, they will challenge Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
