Volleyball Recap: Foothill Takes Down Ranked Durango

Foothill faced Durango in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Falcons blew past the Trailblazers 3-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-12, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Chase, who had 23 assists and nine digs. Those 23 assists gave Chase a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lexington Trummell, who had six kills, four digs, two aces, and one block.

Foothill was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Foothill's record now sits at 12-14. As for Durango, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Foothill has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Valley Christian on the 10th. As for Durango, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the 9th.
