Softball Recap: West Aurora Comes Up Short

West Aurora lost against South Elgin back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blackhawks took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for South Elgin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

West Aurora and South Elgin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Blackhawks will challenge Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (248 vs. 512). Meanwhile, South Elgin (ranked 60th) will meet Larkin (ranked 354th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
