Softball Recap: Gahr Finds Home Field Redemption Against Downey

There's no place like home for Gahr, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They never let the Downey Vikings get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Gladiators in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Isabelle Gonzalez's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gahr saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Laroya, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. That's the most runs Laroya has posted since back in April.

Gahr now has a winning record of 13-12-3. As for Downey, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-10 record.

As of now, neither Gahr nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
