Recap: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Loyola Academy Ramblers
On Saturday, Plainfield North was beaten by Loyola Academy 45-9. While losing is never fun, Plainfield North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Loyola Academy is ranked first).
Ryan Fitzgerald looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 151 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
This is the second loss in a row for Plainfield North and nudges their season record down to 4-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.5 points per game. As for Loyola Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Plainfield North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Loyola Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Neuqua Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neuqua Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
