Hylton is a perfect 6-0 against Osbourn since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Hylton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
Hylton will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Potomac Senior on Friday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Panthers. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Alanis Layne was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayel Williams, who fired off three triples, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alexandra Newton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Hylton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Potomac Senior only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Osbourn's offense. They lost 15-0 to Battlefield on Thursday. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.
Osbourn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Hylton, their record is now 11-5.
Osbourn's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Hylton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Osbourn, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will Hylton keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
Hylton came out on top in a nail-biter against Osbourn when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
