Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Wildcats vs. Cass Colonels

Woodland is 0-10 against Cass since January of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Woodland Wildcats will challenge the Cass Colonels at 6:00 p.m.

Woodland is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They took a blow against Cartersville, falling 74-9. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Cass came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Allatoona with a sharp 47-22 win on Thursday. The Colonels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Cass' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Woodland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Woodland was dealt a bruising 53-13 loss at the hands of Cass in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Woodland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
