Basketball Game Preview: West Orange-Stark Mustangs vs. Silsbee Tigers

West Orange-Stark hasn't had much luck against Silsbee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The West Orange-Stark Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

West Orange-Stark is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Lumberton, falling 42-21. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Silsbee waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bears 71-39. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Silsbee has also been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 20 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for West Orange-Stark, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

West Orange-Stark suffered a grim 78-53 defeat to Silsbee in their previous meeting back in January. Can West Orange-Stark avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
